AutoNews- With Halloween just around the corner, one talented teen’s skills with a make-up brush are earning her plenty of applause across the internet – as well as striking fear into the hearts of all who dare to sneak a peek at her gruesome special effects work.Canadian artist Isobelle Carmichael, 19, creates all manner of dramatic movie-like effects on herself, causing all kinds of dramatic-looking injuries and wounds – whether that’s making her hands look as though they are bleeding, burned, or even missing joints, or turning her face into a horrifyingly bloody state. The teenager’s make-up talents – which are all self-taught – have quickly caught the eyes of thousands online, helping her to rack up a whopping 42,600 followers on her Instagram account Eyesobell. And far from just sharing the final results of her terrifying transformations, Isobelle also posts videos that reveal how she step-by-step molds her fingers into bleeding candles and her mouth into a burnt mask of flesh. At the end of her videos she also includes footage showing the satisfying speedy removal of her mind-boggling creations.A compilation video reveals the range of her special FX make-up looks just in time for Halloween, with her specialty being bloody hand transformations that contort her hands into real life optical illusions. The video starts with one of Isobelle’s hands hanging downwards, revealing a full chunk of her index finger missing between the first and second knuckle. The tip of her finger that is attached to the nail hangs on to the rest of the hand by mere string in a haunting look that resembles the disembodied limbs of zombies. In the next clip she’s in her bathroom revealing her pointer finger which has a skewer seemingly running through it and the chunks of her finger protrude like pieces of meat in different directions and take on the appearance of a kabob. She then brings out an art knife which she uses in one swoop starting from the bottom of her hand and make her way around, and removes the thick chunks of make-up she caked atop her skin to look my bloody and swollen pieces of flesh. And the make-up sticks to the knife like smooth clay. The following hand looks transform her index and middle finger into octopus tentacles, her pinky into a spiral of flesh that swirls through a pencil sharpener, her left hand with three fingers chopped off, and entire hand evolved into crayons and flaming candles. One stomach-churning photo features her foot designed after Woody from the film Toy Story, who bears the inscription ‘Andy’ on the bottom of his shoe. But instead of wearing a boot, she inscribes the message in fake blood on the bottom of her bare foot. But Isobelle does much more than just her hands, she does her face as well. In one look she attached cards to her face in various places and in various shapes, modeled to look as if the cards are cutting into her face and causing blood to seep. But just as soon as the goosebumps start when seeing her chilling look, she quickly removes the cards with ease in the video and reveals the bloody make-up residue that’s left.’I think my style is mostly gruesome,’ Isobelle reveals to Daily Mail Online on her vast array of gory creations.’It doesn’t really gross me out anymore but sometimes I show my boyfriend and he visibly gags, so that’s when I know I did a good job. I can actually do everyday makeup pretty well too (in my opinion) but it’s nowhere near as fun,’ she added. Her make-up obsession all started when she was bedridden while suffering with pneumonia.’Three months ago in June I contracted pneumonia, and I ended up having to leave my job and stay in bed for the better part of two weeks. I got really bored and had a lot of colouful eyeshadow lying around so I started making some bruises and things out of that, using lipstick for blood,’ she revealed on her career’s genesis.Since then her bruises and bloody lips have evolved into much more complicated creations. She’s upped her game with painted frost bite spores on her face, she recreated the hot squiggly eyebrow trend with a bloody twist, and one of her all time favorite looks: she covered up her eye entirely to give the illusion of a missing eyeball, that then reappeared in her mouth.’I have a lot of favourites… the one with the eye in my mouth I think is pretty funny, and the other missing eye one. I like a lot of my finger ones, like the candles and the tacks. I don’t know if it’s my all-time favorite, but right now I’m really proud o
